Conservative Republican Dan Bishop won a special election Tuesday for an open House seat in North Carolina. Bishop, 55, a state senator, defeated centrist Democrat Dan McCready. Bishop tied himself tightly to President Trump, who held an election-eve rally for bishop in the district.
