Description

Former President George W. Bush’s chief political strategist Karl Rove, criticized House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, for “attempting to intrude” on the Senate

According to, the Wall Street Journal, Rove’s complaint came after Pelosi refused to hand over the two articles of impeachment recently approved in the House against the president—for alleged abuse of power and obstruction—in an attempt to negotiate the terms on which the impeachment will continue in the Republican-controlled Senate.

Rove accused Pelosi of having significantly worsened the relationship between the two chambers of Congress.

ove said Pelosi was wrong to say that the process would not be treated fairly, as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell already announced that he intends to follow the same trial rules used during Bill Clinton’s impeachment in 1999.

He noted that even the current minority leader, Chuck Schumer, who has become a “puppet” of Pelosi’s, voted in favor at the time.

He then highlighted Pelosi’s contradictions, explaining that she suspended the impeachment process, although at first she said it should be speeded up because President Trump represented a “threat” in view of the 2020 elections.
