Hong Kong activists stage protest at international airport
Description
If you are a visitor arriving Friday at the Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok International Airport arrival hall, this the scene, you see on your first steps on to ‘Asia’s world city.’
A sea of black-cladded individuals, including Hong Kong’s airport staff, is staging a sit-in to protest against the extradition law and demanding an independent inquiry of alleged police brutality.
Pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong have taken their cause to one of the busiest airports in the world, as thousands—protesters and onlookers—pack into the arrival halls.
Their purpose is to let their voices be heard by the international community.
