Since early June, pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong have been staging a series of protests. It started with the call to stop the controversial extradition bill from being passed to inquiry into police brutality and the complete withdrawal of the extradition bill.

Hundreds of thousands of Hong Kong people, including senior citizens, have stepped forward to participate in the series of ongoing mass protests, with some of these activities culminating in chaos, amid fierce clashes with riot police.

Despite the inconvenience, police brutality, train and flight disruptions, and commuters and protesters enduring attacks from suspected triad gangsters, the Hong Kong people are not letting up.

Many, like 16-year-old student Jackson Lam, who is not participating in the protests, say he supports the cause.

When protesters block the morning trains, calling for a citywide strike on Monday, Lam says he does not mind the travel delay.

The August 5th Monday morning train strike has taken a grip at the Hong Kong airport. It leads to 100 flight cancellations, after the airport express train service is suspended.
