Pentagon: US, Saudi Arabia collaborating to prevent future attacks
The Pentagon says Thursday, September 19 that the U.S. military is liaising with Saudi Arabia to prevent future attacks, following last weekend drone and cruise missile attack on Saudi oil facilities. The aim is to offer protection for the northern part of the country.
Joint Staff Spokesperson Colonel Patrick Ryder says the U.S. Central Command is talking with the Saudis “to discuss potential ways to look at mitigating future attacks. I'm not going to go into details today about what that may or may not be, but clearly as a longstanding partner in the region, we've worked closely with Saudi, for example, to help them as a defender their southern border from the Houthis.”
