Petition to impeach Nancy Pelosi for treason accumulates 288,000 signatures
A petition requiring House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to be impeached for treason has already accumulated more than 288,000 signatures.
The initiative, supported by 288,565 people, was created by a Georgia woman named Marjorie Taylor Greene on the ‘We the People: Your Voice in the White House’ platform. This official website allows citizens to submit proposals that, if they have more than 100,000 signatures, receive a response from the White House.
The petition calls on Congress to impeach Pelosi on the charge of being a “traitor to the American people.”
It argues that Pelosi “helps” enemies, such as illegal aliens: “They invade our country with drugs, human trafficking,” reads the text.
It also points to “terrorist causing death and crime to American citizens.”
The petition created on Jan. 18, 2019, condemns controversial sanctuary policies, promoted mainly by Democrat politicians. The petition gathered more than 130,000 signatures in just 12 days, far surpassing the minimum that guarantees an “official response” from the government
It also condemns Pelosi for refusing to support the financing of the wall, leaving the southern borders of the country “open and insecure.”
