Interim President Guaidó returns to Venezuela

Venezuela experienced hours of extreme tension due to the return of the interim president, recognized and supported by dozens of countries, Juan Guaidó.

The leader of Parliament, who returned to Venezuela on Monday, could have been arrested for violating the ban on leaving national territory dictated by the regime of Nicolas Maduro.
However, the interim president was not arrested after returning from his tour of Colombia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina, and held a mass rally where he called on Venezuelans to take to the streets on Tuesday.
Guaidó denounces that Maduro usurps the position, and demands his resignation, blaming him for the serious food, health and institutional crisis facing the country."

The world's first modified wheat, with the HB 4 gene, would begin to be sown.

Argentines will be the first in the world to eat transgenic wheat after the National Biotechnology Commission, linked to the companies that sell lab-manipulated seeds, decided that they are not dangerous.

However, numerous scientists and specialists document that transgenics are a threat to biodiversity, to the environment and the health of living beings.
They also state that health impact studies are carried out by the same companies that produce the transgenics and the results are confidential.

Dozens of seismic events shook Mexico on Sunday

On Sunday, dozens of low- and medium-intensity seismic events were recorded in Mexico.

In the state of Michoacán de Ocampo, in the western region of the country, they detected about ten telluric movements that were around magnitude six on the Richter scale.
The most intense was detected 63 kilometers southwest of the municipality of Huetamo.
The media reported that no possible casualties or material damage were reported.

In Chile, a foundation cares for terminal ill patients as an alternative to euthanasia

A Chilean foundation opposes euthanasia by offering palliative care to terminally ill patients.

For more than twenty years, a group of lay people led by the priest Baldo Santi, and in cooperation with Caritas Chile, has been providing free care to physically incurable patients in their terminal stage, in the Family Clinic.
Many doctors and nurses who collaborate in the project "For the Dignity of Man" urged the Chilean government to reconsider its position.
They asked that offer to the terminally ill a dignified and human response to their suffering, instead of applying euthanasia, that is to say, intentionally intervene their treatments to accelerate their deaths.
