The BL News—President Trump discusses China and North Korea

Speaking at the Governors' Ball at the White House Sunday, President Donald Trump spoke about China and North Korea, saying the US and China "truly are very close" to a trade agreement.
Earlier, President Trump tweeted that he was going to extend a deadline to escalate tariffs on Chinese imports, citing "substantial progress" made in the talks.
The world's two biggest economies have been locked in a conflict over US allegations that China steals technology and forces foreign companies to hand over trade secrets in an aggressive push to challenge American technological dominance.
President Trump said he is looking forward to this week's summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Vietnam, saying there is "a chance to do something very, very special.”
President Trump and Kim Jong Un met last June in Singapore in what was a first-ever historic meeting between sitting leaders of the long-time enemies. President Trump sights his tough stance that has led to a pathway to peace.
What is expected from the second summit between the two nations is a continuation of US sanction, and a declaration of North Koreas nuclear capabilities. President Trump could very well announce that a peace treaty that will replace the armistice between the North and South established in 1953 when the fighting stopped on the Korean Peninsula.
