The police (STS) used three minibuses to crash and disperse protesters
Description
Since PolyU has been surrounded and besieged by the police, a large number of people gathered in Yau Ma Tei to protest. In the wee hours, the Special Tactical Squad (STS) meant to scatter the people by ramming three minibuses and a Flying Tigers’ vehicle into the crowd of people through fire. Pedestrians fled for lives and caused a stampede. Many were injured and fell to the ground while some were trampled and had their hands fractured. But the police still drove the voluntary medical workers away and stymied their rescue efforts.
According to Stand News, at least 60 people were arrested during this police action. Many were seen kneeling on the ground with hands tied behind their backs. Until 2.30 a.m., the medical workers were still dealing with the wounded and sending them to hospitals in succession.
