Trump defends funding for border crisis
Description
President Donald Trump defends the administration's decision to re-allocate funds from FEMA to help the national security emergency crisis on the Southern border and says it’s much less than anticipated.
The Department of Homeland Security issued a statement on Tuesday that it will be moving $271 million from other agencies such as Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the US Coast Guard to expand its capacity for the influx of detained immigrants by funding a program to return Central American migrants to wait in Mexico pending the resolution of their court cases in the United States.
