Volker’s testimony vindicates Trump – Dem’s change their narrative
Former special envoy to Ukraine, Kurt Volker testified behind closed doors Thursday before house investigators. Volker stepped down from his post shortly after the Whistleblower complaint came forward exposing a phone call between President Trump and Ukraine’s President Zelenskiy. The Democrat led House majority is now proceeding with an impeachment inquiry into alleged high crimes and misdemeanors committed by President Trump. The inquiry began with an accusation of Quid Pro Quo on the part of President Trump. The transcript of the phone call between the two leaders was released by the White House and by most accounts of the transcript, there was no obvious quid pro quo. But Democrats are describing the contents in the transcript differently. After the hearing Representatives spoke to reporters and the interpretation of what Volker said are just as divided as the phone call transcript. Rep. Mark Meadows explained that Volker’s testimony proves there was no quid pro quo.
